Frequently asked questions

Choosing your perfect wedding photographer in Hampshire is such a big deal, right? I bet you have a ton of questions buzzing around in your head! So, let’s chat about some key questions you should definitely think about as you make your decision.

Q | So, are you a full-time or part-time wedding photographer?

A | Oh, I’m all in! I'm a full-time wedding photographer here in Hampshire. This is what I do—I live and breathe weddings!

Q | How experienced are you?

A | You could say I’ve been around the block a few times! I’ve captured so many weddings across the UK, and I like to think I really stand out among Hampshire photographers with my solid experience. I aim for top-notch photography that you’ll love!

Q | What’s your style of wedding photography?

A | Honestly, I don’t have a one-size-fits-all style. I like to tailor my approach based on what my couples love! I mix things up with contemporary, classic, a bit of fashion, and some candid moments to give you a beautiful blend of styles. I’m all about those clean, well-composed images that pop with color (and I’m a fan of black and white, too!). I want each shot to shine without using Photoshop to fix mistakes—I’m all about capturing the best moments in camera.

Q | What’s your approach on the day?

A | This is where experience really matters! You definitely want someone who knows what they’re doing, so the day goes smoothly. I try to keep things relaxed and informal—I’m not the type to be all up in your face or take too long with poses. People often tell me I’m organized, well-dressed, helpful, and polite, which I think makes a big difference. Plus, I bring a bit of fun to the day too.

Q | Are you fully insured?

A | Absolutely! These days, most venues really prefer working with wedding photographers who are fully insured. I’ve got comprehensive public indemnity and liability insurance, and I'm more than willing to share the certification details with your venue. Plus, all the top wedding experts, venues, and bridal magazines recommend that you choose a photographer who has solid insurance coverage. It just gives you that peace of mind, right?

Q | What camera equipment do you use?

A | I use top-notch professional camera gear and the latest tech to make sure I can capture every moment beautifully! It’s important for me to have equipment that lets me work quickly and still deliver amazing images no matter the weather or lighting. In the past, I’ve worked with Canon MK4s and Nikon gear, but I’ve found that Fujifilm’s professional range really shines with clarity and color, which is perfect for my couples.

Q | Do you carry backup equipment?

A | You bet! Any serious photographer should always have backup gear on hand. It’s something you definitely want to ask about when you’re choosing a photographer, just to be safe. It’s essential!

Q | Do you enjoy taking family groups?

A | Oh, for sure! I actually find it really special to capture those family moments. It’s always a joy to see everyone together, and I love making those memories last.

Q | Do you take all those important little detail shots?

A | Absolutely! I really enjoy capturing all those little details of a wedding—the shoes, the flowers, the cufflinks, and of course, your stunning wedding dress! There’s so much beauty in those little things.

Q | How do you dress on the day?

A | Oh, I always make sure to dress smartly and appropriately for the occasion.

Q | Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

A | Totally 100%! I’m all about inclusivity and love working with everyone.

Q | Many wedding photographers I’ve talked to only provide the images and no albums or reprints. Do you offer a complete service?

A | Yes, I do! I provide a full range of high-quality, custom albums, including some beautiful options from Jorgensen. Plus, you can get reprints and a fun selection of wall art prints from my studio or online.

Q | Do you design the wedding albums at your studio?

A | Definitely! We design all the wedding albums right here. In fact, we even help other photographers create albums for their clients if they don’t offer that service.

How's that?
